New stage-play by Nagoya Omotenashi Bushotai scheduled for late March 2023∼

Looks like a new stage play is in the making for the Nagoya Omotenashi Bushotai. It's going to be an updated edition of Believe, a popular play of the 90s by PLANET PISTACCIO (惑星ピスタチオ) , and original author Nishida Shatner (西田シャトナー) is going to take care of direction and script!
BELIEVE2023 - The Six Overlords (Believe2023六人の覇王) is scheduled for performance at Nagoya City Performing Arts Center on the last weekend of March.

The plot revolves around Nobunaga getting hold of an history book left behind in the Sengoku Era by a time-traveller --This gives him the chance to change history!!
I found this one-man version of the show featuring Yasumura Yamato (Japanese), if you're interested in more precise contents.

--I hope this time some pamphlet would be available :(

Oh no∼ It's the Satanic Charm of Nobunaga Once Again! "Honganji" stage-play!

This is yet another pamphlet that I have in my collection of Nobunaga-related thinglets: Yes, I realize that it's a bit awkward to own a pamphlet of a stage-play that I never watched, but I'm always so intrigued about the depictions of Nobunaga in the various media that I can't help bulk-buying when I find a few-- And obviously babble about 'em!

Nobunaga's new outfit∼

Kento Iwasaki shared pictures of a new Nobunaga's outfit on the Nagoya Omotenashi Bushotai blog:

"The Man who dreamed of the World" stage-play by Nagoya Omotenashi Bushotai.

So, past week the guys of the Nagoya Omotenashi Bushotai managed to set up a stage-play dedicated to the inspiring figure of Nobunaga; the complete title sounds like The Man Who Dreamed of the World ～The Two Rebellions of the Supreme King～ (天下を夢見た男～覇王双乱～, Tenka wo Yumemita Otoko ～Haō Sōran～). The scriptwriter of the stage-play was Nobuhiro Mori and the director was Shin'ya Sato.
The event included the guest starring of seiyuu Yudai Noda as Akechi Mitsuhide and talent Miki Yakata as the "mysterious girl".
The play was staged on March 26th and 27th at Nagoya City Performing Arts Center venue.

Ichikawa Ebizo XI as Nobunaga, challenging Kabuki

Since the announcement of the TV Special about Nobunaga featuring Ichikawa Ebizo XI, I decided to make this post about one of his first takes on our favourite warlord, featuring this pamphlet of the stage play Nobunaga. This modern kabuki was performed in Tokyo and Osaka in Winter 2006.

Suddenly, a Nobunaga in C3 AFA in Hong Kong!

Let's stay in Hong Hong but this time let's move to the C3 AFA in Hong Kong event when, suddenly, I noticed that the booth of Manga Shop (pretty much a "sister shop" of the Japanese Animate in Hong Kong) was decorated by artworks signed by Hiroyuki Suwahara featuring our favourite warlord!



The reference is yet another figure, the Nobunaga by ACI Toys that I mentioned (and I preordered) years ago, by now... So I got closer to indagate.

Nobunaga (w)as a Woman: "Onna Nobunaga"

I'll continue with my intrusions in the world of stage plays, focusing on the works related to Nobunaga.

This time we take a look at the pamphlet of "Onna Nobunaga", the stage version of a popular novel by Kenichi Sato, known because of it tanpatsu version directed by Hideki Takeuchi, even if this stage play is actually older than the TV adaptation.

The pamphlet came with a nice chirashi/mini-poster with a nice picture of the protagonists of this strange love story, pretty-girl-of-many-talents Meisa Kuroki as Nobunaga, and pop idol Akinori Nakagawa as Mitsuhide.

Oda Nobunaga Tour 2017

It took me almost a month, but I'm finally done with the reports of my last trip to Japan :)

The last days were dedicated to my third Nobunaga Tour, and finally I posted the articles online on my personal website :)

Nobunaga meets Takarazuka: "NOBUNAGA - Tenka no Yume"

Recently I started to collect Japanese pamphlets about my favourite anime movies... Since I found some for cheap, I also presented myself some dedicated to various stage plays featuring Nobunaga.
This is my first arrival, the pamphlet of "NOBUNAGA - Tenka no Yume", the recent show featuring the Moon Troupe of Takarazuka:
This refers to the show of Tokyo at the Tokyo Takarazuka Theatre.
